The U.S.S. Equinox makes a gamble
On a cold, moonlit night the U.S.S. Equinox prepares to land on an alien world that promises refreshments - at least that is what the initial sensor scans revealed. It is worth the risk as the Nova class starship and her crew are in desperate need for replenishment.
After stretching their legs, resources and supplies are top of the list. The mood is tense, but everyone is committed to assist in carrying out their self-imposed mission to make it home, no matter the costs. The Delta Quadrant has been harsh on them and unforgiving so far, but there is always hope, as Captain Ransom likes to remind himself before each dangerous gamble.
"Hope is not hope, if it is known," he whispered to himself as the unknown approached with mysteries hiding in the shadows - hopefully too wonderful for words and not to terrible for utterance.
